Vienna, 6th April 2021 – Following a recently completed strategic consolidation phase in which several production sites and the company's elevator division were carved out, GG Group is now taking clear steps to further expand its position in the Chinese market by opening a Regional Customer Service Center.

In addition to our existing production site in Shenyang, we are thus creating a geographically easily accessible competence center in Shanghai where local customers will benefit from our bundled long-term expertise and our global development know-how, which will certainly result in a large number of new and innovative solutions," says Holger Fastabend, CSO/CTO of the GG Group, about the new site in Shanghai.
In the future, the focus on the Chinese market will be on expanding the System Applications product segments for Automotive Power Distribution Systems (low volt / 48 volts) and e-mobility (high volt). As a leading supplier in this area, GG Group will now increasingly establish cost- and weight-efficient power distribution systems in aluminum on the Chinese market as well. Furthermore, the Automotive Data Transmission product area will be strongly represented at the new location in Shanghai and offer local customers additional services in the development of individual automotive data cables.
The new location in Shanghai was successfully opened on April 1, 2021. The team consists of experienced employees from the areas of engineering, sales and business development who were previously stationed at the production site in Shenyang. A further strengthening of the local team with additional specialists is planned by the end of the year.
