Starting in February, five autonomous forklifts will be supporting the logistics department within the Poysdorf cable plant. The new robot colleagues take care of transporting semi-finished products from the shelves to the loading and receiving stations (terminals) and vice versa. They will not be able to replace the current manual forklift operations, but are intended as a support measure for the rising internal transport needs.
