Procurement Specialist- Southfield, MI

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Identify and develop qualified North American supply base together with local engineering team, central purchasing and quality
  2. Contribute to sourcing strategies by analyzing supply base, capabilities, competitiveness and technologies
  3. Initiate and participate in supplier evaluation and visits together with commodity team as required
  4. Lead RFQ process by analyzing quotes, cost breakdowns, benchmarking, participate in strategic sourcing determining best value for the organization
  5. Support on-time RFQ responses from supply base to meet customer milestones
  6. Work closely alongside local sales and engineering to meet defined program costs targets and identifying in cost saving opportunities
  7. Negotiate with supply base
  8. Analyze make vs. buy decisions together with central purchasing
  9. Drive and implement cost targets while fulfilling customer and internal requirements
  10. Collaborate with various department team members globally to ensure compliance to established core company processes and methods.
  11. Evaluate customer information/requirements and review for technical compliance
  12. Interface with company management and escalate issues as appropriate
  13. Travel to customer and G&G facilities as required
  14. Issue Purchase Orders for production tooling, PPAP and first samples
  15. Project manage customer projects from purchasing perspective, i.e. detailed project progress follow up w/ suppliers (including tool and sample progress tracking)

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering

      

Essential Skills and Experience:

  1. 5+ years of relevant experience in automotive Tier I supplier environment

  2. Must have previous experience in purchasing role

  3. Knowledge of automotive market and supply chain 

  4. Knowledge of SAP

  5. Must be patient and diplomatic with positive and optimistic attitude and keep a professional demeanor with customer at all times

  6. Must be self-directed and motivated to complete tasks and resolve issues with minimal direction from management

  7. High level of integrity

  8. Effective negotiations experience specific to automotive industry

  9. Good communication and time management skills are required

  10. Must be able to interface with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams globally

  11. Must be detail oriented to ensure both external and internal requirements are fulfilled

  12. Must be a team player

  13. Must have good organizational skills

  14. Must have good verbal, written and presentation communications skills

Inside Sales Representative- Southfield, MI

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of GG quoting process from RFQ to award, product launch and get into production by interacting with cross-functional groups internally
  2. Generate detailed price quotations and manage customer off preparation during sourcing process
  3. Prepare detailed customer price breakdown forms
  4. strong collaboration and alignment with Account Managers
  5. Actively support upper management team by generating business plan proposal presentations with all relevant RFQ details for approval
  6. Maintain, track and support all quoting and change management activities
  7. Assure accuracy of pricing by tracking and reviewing customer purchase orders to ensure they match with proposals and requirements
  8. Perform market analysis, forecasting, competitive analysis for both internal and external customers as required
  9. Support Sales Account Management and Business Development teams in order to achieve revenue and profit to business development teams in order to achieve revenue and profit to business plan and budget
  10. Strong collaboration with local team as well as Europe and Mexico

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education

  1. Associates Degree in Business required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for all commercial aspects of product portfolio: automotive power cable harness and automotive data cables
  2. Direct interface with customer purchasing organization
  3. identify key decision makers at potential customers and develop strong long term business relationship in order to secure new business and retain current business
  4. Identify customer needs and act as the customer voice at internal meetings
  5. Key stakeholder during RFQ process in order to position different internal cross-functional teams to customer and internal requirements
  6. Manage all aspects of customer quotations and price break downs
  7. Provide upper management with direction and market trends of products and customers in order for company to gain competitive edge
  8. Gain access to all relevant product portfolio key information
  9. Together with upper management develop, implement and lead business and sales strategies to enable growth
  10. Grow market share through expansion of existing business as well as new customer acquisition
  11. Work closely with internal upper management, Engineering and Purchasing organizations locally and in Europe/Mexico
  12. Achieve revenue and profit to business plan and budget
  13. Manage and recover costs for prototype parts, ED&D, Engineering change notices piece price and tooling
  14. Manage price strategy
  15. Be able to analyze complex customer specification and requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business. Prefer combination of Commercial and Engineering experience in the automotive industry specifically in harness and cable industry

  1. Minimum 5+ years of experience in Automotive Tier I environment
  2. Experience in selling to Detroit 3 from Tier I level
  3. Willingness to travel- 20%
